I'm Andres Moreno, a Principal Software Architect at Caylent. I specialize in cloud-native platforms, developer experience, and AI-enabled systems, from event-driven architectures and ephemeral environments to agent systems and MCP.
What I Do
I lead technical engagements end-to-end: discovery, architecture, prototyping, engineering, and delivery. I work directly with CTOs, VPs, and engineering leaders to turn ambiguous problems into production-ready systems, then stay hands-on building them.
My work spans three areas:
- Cloud-Native Systems: Event-driven architectures, APIs, distributed systems, and infrastructure design. I've designed and launched production systems serving tens of thousands of users in GovCloud.
- Developer Platforms: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, testing strategy, ephemeral environments. I've built patterns that cut environment setup from 30 minutes to 5, and driven testing governance across 300-engineer organizations.
- AI-Native Engineering: Agent orchestration, MCP servers, deterministic workflows, AI evaluation. I build reusable foundations that take agent POCs from zero to functional in minutes, not weeks.

I'm an AWS Community Builder, a Believe in Serverless Community Champion, and the organizer of the Cloud del Norte AWS User Group in El Paso. In 2026, I've spoken at AWS Summits (Mexico City, Indianapolis), AWS Community Day Midwest, Talent Land, and Commit Your Code Conference.
